Alexander Daniels stages pre-election business seminar in Birmingham…

Submitted by on April 8, 2015 – 7:00 am |

Nick PeareThe outlook for businesses both pre-and post-election will come under the microscope at a seminar being held by Birmingham-based recruitment company Alexander Daniels this month.

Leading economist Dr. Ceri Davies will be the guest speaker at the free event on Friday, 24th April, which takes place at the offices of PwC in Cornwall Street.

He will look at the major implications for the economy and for businesses both in the run-up to, and after the General Election, analysing the major differences between the policies of the various parties.

A teaching fellow in economics at the University of Birmingham, Dr. Davies received his PhD in economics from the University of Cardiff. His research into macroeconomics has been presented at the annual conference of the Royal Economic Society and at seminars at the Bank of England, and also at the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and Minneapolis in the United States.

“With the General Election campaign now officially under way, the UK economy has entered a period of uncertainty,” says Nick Pearce, director at Alexander Daniels.

“Significant differences between the policies of the major parties mean the landscape for business could look very different come Friday, 8th May. Dr. Davies will provide essential guidance for businesses in the West Midlands on how to navigate through the uncertainty and plan for whatever result the election may bring.”

Refreshments and pastries will be available at the seminar, which runs from 7.45am-9.30am. For further information please contact Kimberley Cherrington at Alexander Daniels on or by email at
