BCC Annual Conference: Vince Cable and Chuka Umunna added to a stellar line-up of speakers…
Staffordshire Businesses attending British Chamber of Commerce’s (BCC) Annual Conference will hear the thoughts of Vince Cable MP and Chuka Umunna MP on their ‘Business Plan For Britain.’
They join a host of other speaker, which include senior cabinet ministers, Ed Balls, William Hague, and former England rugby coach Sir Clive Woodward OBE.
The BCC’s Annual Conference takes place on Tuesday 10 February at the QEII Conference Centre in London.
A strong business delegation from Staffordshire is expected at the conference.
Speakers and panelists will focus on addressing four business-critical themes – developing the talents of the next generation, growing UK exports, devolution to all regions of the UK and Britain’s position in the world.
The conference brings together more than 800 businesspeople from a range of industries across the UK.
Other speakers include John Swinney, MSP, deputy first minister of Scotland, Margaret Mountford, chair of The Bright Ideas Trust and former judge on the BBC’s The Apprentice, John Longworth, BCC director general and Angus Thirwell, CEO and founder of Hotel Chocolat.
Commenting ahead of the conference, deputy chief executive of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Jane Gratton, said:
“At this conference, Staffordshire businesses will hear from an impressive line-up of speakers.
“With this year’s general election set to be the most unpredictable vote in decades, the Annual Conference offers senior politicians opportunity to clearly set out how they prepare to deliver a more confident and enterprising Britain.
“Setting out a true ‘Business Plan for Britain’ will instil confidence among Staffordshire businesses so they can focus on delivering long-term growth and prosperity for the UK.”
