Britain’s biggest funder of digital start-ups Thomas Teichman predicts the online health hub, Doctify (www.doctify.co.uk) will become the health equivalent of Lastminute.com – which he also funded.
Teichman is one of the seed funders of Camden based Doctify, which was founded by two NHS orthopaedic surgeon and CEO Daniel Jung, who was former Vice President of Santander UK Corporate & Commercial.
Teichman says: “The Doctify concept is unique and connects rated specialist doctors easily to those who need one – and fast”.
“The founders are not only practicing surgeons but the most sharp and charismatic young woman/man balanced team I have backed since I financially supported Brent Hoberman and Martha-Lane Fox who started Lastminute.com also from zero”.
“Lastminute.com went on to become a billion dollar company. I see Doctify as having the same potential”.
The £5bn online healthcare sector in the UK is one of the fastest growing sectors as people live longer, preventative healthcare becomes emphasised by the NHS.
Doctify was born from two NHS doctors passionate about making a difference. It provides patients with the ability to search, review and book specialists from 42 different categories online.
