Emergency Medical Equipment Open Day…

Submitted by pressteam1 on September 7, 2018 – 6:00 am |

Emergency Medical Equipment Decontamination kits used by police to reduce injuries after a chemical or corrosive crime attack will be unveiled to the public at an “out of the ordinary” emergency medical equipment open day in Telford in the Midlands in September.

An innovative CPR manikin, distributed by SP Services to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Middle East, will be demonstrated to show first aiders and others how they can practice the latest resuscitation techniques. While a workshop on haemorrhage control best practice will also be held.

It’s all part of a two day event on September 7 and 8 open to all at SP Services, a world leading supplier of emergency medical equipment whose unmissable HQ at Hortonwood 30, Telford, has an armoured ambulance used in the Iraq war at the front door.

The company, established for more than 29 years, provides medical equipment to police, fire and ambulance services, Government agencies, the NHS, Army, Nato and businesses nationwide and across the world. They even provide the stretchers used to carry injured Premiership footballers off the pitch.

SP’s Business Development Director Paul Watts, who travels the world to talk to Government departments and business and health organisations, said they will host a number of demonstrations at the event.

“It will be a slightly out of the ordinary two day open day but one that we hope will be of interest to people in Shropshire and further afield. It is the perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about what we do and how we can help you or your organisation.”

Visitors will be given a tour of all the facilities at SP Services, including their shop which is open to the general public with exclusive offers to customers on the day and a whole range of end of line bargains and usual top selling items. There is also a chance to win a fully kitted Parabag in the free prize draw giveaway, free parking and refreshments.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to register their preferred date at www.spservices.co.uk/openday.

SP Services sends medical equipment to war torn countries, works with emergency services to provide bespoke Parabag kits and equipment, and was the company national investigators called to supply disposable gloves for the Salisbury nerve agent spy case investigation. They are known for their specialised knowledge and industry experience in providing a massive range of emergency medical equipment from small to large orders for anything from plasters to patient monitors, scissors to surgical tape, and defibrillators to decontamination kits in the UK and anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.

They recently supplied more than 100 defibrillators to the Border Force for offices at UK ports and airports.
