Holographic lenses showcased in London…
What would you do if you could see into the future?
For a select group of top U.K. business leaders, that question was answered on Tuesday 25th July in Central London with the chance to ‘test-drive’ the HoloLens, the first fully self-contained holographic computer which allows users to interact with high-definition holograms in their world.
“HoloLens will be a game changer. This is because it has the ability to change objects in your field of view, and will have a massive impact on a number of different industries from manufacturing to design and beyond. One thing is certain: mixed Reality will change the way we see the world around us“, said Duncan Gledhill, CEO of Digital Entrepreneur, a global network for entrepreneurs with a focus in the digital space looking to spot new opportunities, make connections and do deals.
With expert guidance from Maximilian Dölle of Kazendi (the first company to offer HoloLens in the U.K.), attendees were able to create their own worlds simply by wearing the HoloLens (similar in shape to a large pair of wraparound sunglasses), and using basic hand gestures to move the images and interact with guidance screens, much to the amusement of their fellow guests.
The event was also streamed live to ‘techpreneurs’ worldwide, and with meetings planned in Berlin and Warsaw, Digital Entrepreneur’s members worldwide are set to enjoy plenty of insights into future trends in VR and business technology.
As attendee Rob Warner put it: “it’s a crash course in what’s working, new and interesting in digital business, straight from the people really doing it. All delivered in a relaxed, informal and frequently funny, entertaining way.”
