Parcel2Go gives Christmas customers added security with free £50 compensation cover…
In the run-up to the festive season, the biggest parcel delivery price comparison website in the UK Parcel2Go.com has launched a new international service that includes £50 free compensation cover in the price.
The new service will be trialled during the upcoming Christmas period, covering parcels sent from the UK to France, Germany, Ireland and Spain through leading couriers DPD and UPS. Plans are in place to rollout to additional locations if it is successful.
Robert Mead, Marketing Manager at Parcel2Go.com, believes the new service will offer people the extra peace of mind they need when sending gifts at Christmas: “With so much to think about during the holidays, having that additional cover can really help take a load of people’s minds. Knowing that cover is in place should the worst happen when sending gifts to friends or family abroad can be a tremendous help.”
The new service will also launch in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which are expected to be two of the busiest shopping days of the year. The free compensation cover will also be incredibly useful to retailers partaking in the pre-holiday sales if they offer delivery to the four countries covered.
The cover of up to £50 will be included in the postage price, but additional compensation can still be purchasable for those gifts that warrant a little extra protection, and are worth more than £50. The new service is an added extra to Parcel2Go.com’s international delivery service, which allows customers to compare prices and select the best delivery option for them. A non-cover service is still available and will be £1.70 cheaper.
Through this new international offering, Parcel2Go.com hopes to deliver a high quality service with some of the world’s most reliable couriers, whilst also providing added comfort should something go wrong on the journey.
“The couriers we work with are extremely reliable and handle all packages with the utmost care and attention,” Robert continued. “But should something go wrong, our new service will act as an extra safety net to reassure our customers who are sending packages abroad. With the basic level of £50 included with the original postage price at no additional cost, its added re-assurance for those who plan to send gifts abroad this Christmas.
