Register now for biggest ever business event in Rugby area…

Submitted by BIP Team on February 22, 2013 – 3:17 pm |

Abid Hussain Warwickshire CollegeThere’s still time for people across the Rugby area to register for the town’s biggest ever business event, being held at Warwickshire College in March.

Featuring a host of seminars to inspire and reinvigorate, the event promises discussions on areas as varied as social media, making a profit in a recession and starting up your own business.

The event, which is being held on Thursday 14 March from 10am to 3pm, is the ideal opportunity for businesses in the Rugby area to generate new leads, meet new suppliers or simply be inspired by the wealth of reputable and highly-skilled companies in the area.

Students from both Warwickshire College and local schools will also be able attend the exhibition in the afternoon to network with business and meet potential future employers.

The event has been organised by The Best of Rugby and Business in the Community in association with Warwickshire College.

Abid Hussain (pictured), Vice Principal Student Progression, said: “Warwickshire College is committed to providing the best education and training opportunities for our students. This includes creating opportunities for them to engage with established entrepreneurs, businesses and innovators, and giving them the skills and aptitudes they need to excel in the changing global economic environment.

“Warwickshire College is at the heart of the community, and as part of this we are keen to work with and support the local economy.  Without the success of employers in the area, there would be fewer opportunities for our students.”

Vic Holt owner of The Best of Rugby, said: “Our aim is to create an environment where local businesses can connect, build relationships together and promote their brand in a unique way. We believe that local business is the best business and this event is all about helping to stimulate the local economy in these difficult trading times.”

Sara Brazier, Business Connector at Business in the Community, said: “Small businesses are a vital part of the UK economy and our economic recovery.  We all need to work together to promote and encourage small businesses to innovate and grow and the Business Expo is our way of supporting this locally.

“We hope this event will enthuse and motivate businesses locally and continue the growth and development of Rugby.”
