RISING LOCAL TALENT LOOKS FOR KICKSTART TO NEW ALBUM…

Submitted by Admin on February 7, 2014 – 8:00 am |

wes finchWes Finch, a Coventry based musician, has made huge strides in developing his career in the past few years, having supported stars including Newton Faulkner and Billy Bragg. Now he has major interest from international record labels.

To get him to the next level and enable the release of a new album, Wes has launched an online fundraising campaign via crowd-source funding platform Kickstarter. He has 1 month to raise £7,000, but if he falls just £1 below his target he’ll receive none of the funds pledged.

As part of the Kickstarter project an entertaining video has been produced by Wes and his management team at Unity Roots Productions. ‘KICKSTART ME’ adorns the back of Wes’ shirt, while other message handwritten around his home tell the story of what is needed to make it in the music industry today.

Wes has managed to attract award winning producer Gerry Diver to work on the new album project too, which adds huge gravitas to the collection of un-recorded songs.

Wes needs all music fans, far and wide, to chip in and help support this campaign and he is even prepared to give away his treasured guitar, which he has played since he was 10 – if he can get the right amount of funding.

“I’m so ready to record this album, we’ve had some amazing feedback from the record labels who are just waiting to hear the recordings and prepared to release the album.

“Kickstarter is a great way of generating interest and funds for an artistic project like this, I’ve done a Kickstarter project before – but it wasn’t for nearly as much money and I just hope people will believe in what we’re trying to achieve and chip in, with whatever contribution they can.” Explained Wes Finch.

As per all Kickstarter projects, each person who contributes gets a reward in line with the amount they put in to the pot. Wes’ rewards include getting your name in the album sleeve, a private concert in your front room with Wes and copies of the album once it is finished; not forgetting that if someone puts up the big bucks they’ll get Wes’ beloved guitar!

Wes is supporting this campaign with three tracks, recorded with Gerry Diver to show interested contributors exactly what can be achieved given the right support. Wes is raring to go with his forthcoming album, an album which is going to elevate him to the stage on which he deserves to be.

Wes has dedicated his life to music, bringing pleasure to music fans all over the UK and now, more than ever he needs support from all of those music lovers.

For those people that have heard Wes perform before, they will have been mesmerised by his blinding performances and for those that haven’t, there is so much to look forward to.
