Shropshire law firm hailed as star performer in national report…
A law firm in Shropshire has been highlighted as a “star performer” in a national report.
Lanyon Bowdler was the only firm with its headquarters in Shropshire to be named in The Lawyer UK 200 report, which ranks law firms in terms of annual turnover and other business statistics.
It is the first time Lanyon Bowdler has been included in the report and it was highlighted as a star performer, with a turnover of £8.9 million in 2014/15 putting it at number 183 in the league table, the highest new entrant.
According to the report, the star performers were the best-performing or most innovative firms among the UK 200 Independents, and not just those that posted the biggest fee income rises last year.
They were firms that, for a variety of reasons, were carving out for themselves a reputation as trailblazers
Managing partner at Lanyon Bowdler, David Battisby, said being included in The Lawyer’s Top 200 was a great endorsement of the firm’s standing in the legal industry and its local markets.

The Lawyer UK 200 is considered to be a good barometer of performance in the law industry, and is published every year by The Lawyer magazine.
Lanyon Bowdler was highlighted in a special report called “The UK 200: the Independents” which profiled the firms ranked from 100 to 200.
