Story tells a tale of growth with hat trick of client wins and senior hire…
Birmingham-based PR firm Story has won three new clients and boosted its senior team with the hire of a new director.
London-based data analysts Movement Strategies, law firm Mills & Reeve and executive search business Berwick Partners have all retained the agency’s services on long-term contracts.
Story won all three new clients in competitive pitches – together the agency saw off competition from 14 other agencies from across the UK.
Story is briefed with creating and delivering integrated comms strategies for the hat trick of new clients. They join a roster that includes Finance Birmingham, Goodman, Glide and Wesleyan. Since its launch in 2015, Story has also delivered PR and broader integrated campaigns for John Lewis, Marketing Birmingham, The NEC Group, and Seven Capital.
Managing Director, Amanda Lowe, said:
“We’re growing fast at Story as more clients back our approach, ideas and team with their business. Each of our three new clients have asked for long-term arrangements, which is a real testament to their trust in us and our ability to impact their bottom line.”
Story has also welcomed Greg Aris into the business as a director. Aris joins from Smarts where he led teams delivering digital integrated campaigns. He will lead Story’s day-to-day operations, client delivery and product development arm, focussing on creating communications products and campaigns that align with clients’ customer journeys.
Lowe added:
“Story is passionate about telling great stories that get talked about and shared, whether that’s by the watercooler, as a tweet, on Facebook or by Snapchat video. Understanding what makes a great story and how to tell it across the growing number of marketing and PR channels, traditional and digital, is what we do.”
The agency capped a hugely successful first year in business earlier this year with a host of award nominations. It was the only agency based outside of London to be shortlisted for the prestigious PRMoment Awards ‘New Agency of the Year’ and ‘Integrated Campaign’ for its creative work supporting John Lewis’ arrival in the city. It was also finalist at the Birmingham Post Awards in the Start-Up of the Year category.
